Default Cold AC vs. Header question

I'm planning on putting a header on my f22. The AC line is really close to the manifold. Has anyone ran into problems with this? Should I thermal wrap the ac line or header? Or will it not affect it?

I don't want to take the AC out.......TN summers are hot and I'm a fat guy, and heat and fat guy dont mix

Let me know.....Thanks.

how close? touching?

dont let the ac line touching the manifold or it will catch on fire.

Header wrap seem to be a better solution.

if it is really close, then i recommend getting the AC hoses wraps the DEI makes. it can be ordered through jegs or summit racing. das wat the turbo guys use so that there ac line wont get to hot and bust on them, due to the heat from the turbo.

did you take off the heat shield? if so put it back on my ac lines are not close to my heata shield at all. Do you have the original lines or are they replacements?

my lines are closer to the radiator than the heat shield.

The car was in a lil skirmish with a Tracker (Dang Chevys .....sorry if youre a chevy person). Some front end cosmetic damage. But everything is back to spec. The ac line isn't touching. all 94-97s are like this, just wondering if anybody had a problem with it after putting on a manifold.

Just a stock setup......when I had a header, I want to make sure the ac wont be affected.

There is plenty of room between my heat shield and the ac line. But common sense tells me that a cold line next to a hot header is good cause for thermal wrapping .

he does not want to take the A/C out that is why I recommended that he put the heat shield back on.

Thanks for the help fellas. I'll probably get a 4-2-1 and keep an eye on the line. I'll probably thermal wrap it anyways.
