what do you guys think about this new lip?

it's supposed to be a replica of the greddy/trust lip but when i called the place that sells it, they said it's a mugen CF lip. do people actually know what they're selling?

i need opinions!

Is it a Seibon lip? If so, I just ordered their 4gen CF Spoon replica.

 

Make sure you put it on a black or dark colored car. The cf lip looks like a$$ on any other color IMO.

 

4bidden: yes it's a seibon lip. how much did you pay for it?

buckwild: i seen an oem cf lip on a pearl white lude and it looks hot, IMO.

 

I paid $300 + $45 shipping for the Spoon style CF front lip shipped to my house.

I just ordered it today.


EDIT: The 5gen Prelude guys have been buying Seibon CF eyelids for a while and the weave is excellent. I dont know why I hadn't heard of this company until just recently.

 

damn, i was quoted $450 for the 5th gen lip.

yeah, not many people know about seibon.

let me know how the fitment is after you install it.

its a replica of the EDM (european) lip....its the mix between the type-s lip and the OEM front lip.....i know because i have it

 

in my opinon i think carbon fiber looks good on any color,

 

I think a CF will look good because I'll have the CF front lip and CF fog trim covers. Guess we'll find out!

That is a Mugen CF lip copy. To the extent that it is modeled after the 99-00 Civic Mugen front lip. Everyone is making "Mugen CF lip" for every chassis, it's ridiculous.

 

Damn I wish I knew about this. I just ordered an OEM lip for my 98 lude. How does c/f take to collisions? I am changing from a Mugen replica kit because I want to lower my car an inch or two and not worry about destroying a fiberglass kit (plus my kit already scraped at stock height)if I bottom out once in a while.

mario - it isn't a mugen copy.....its the optional lip for the euro preludes...

 

what ever it is... it looks good. I'd like to see a picture of the car with it on.

BTW, where can I get the 5th Gen CF Trunk?

is this the seibon/afs people dicking you?

CF will take collisions better than metal or fiber glass. a while back, a piece of shingle fell from my roof and hit my car. my CF hood had minor scratches, my driver side fender was dented.

Hopefully it works out, if not just hit me up and I can work something out for one of mine...I should have some for sale by the end of the month, package deal with the fog covers or something I don't know...

 

Yea, the guy at AFS was very confused about what he had in stock. They just got a container in the day before so I can understand things were a little hectic. He did however call me back about 10mins after I posted that and said he went to the warehouse and they do have one, its shipping out tomorrow.

Working on it, the second prototype came out perfect, but I'm feeling guilty about the lips so I have made it my priority just cause those people have spent a lot more money and waited longer, damn I like live and breathe carbon fiber...

...well good thing for my chemical breathing mask heh heh

 

If you live and breathe them then I should have my pieces that I paid for monnnths ago! Its all good, as long as they come out good. It would be nice to have them kind of soon though so I can take pics with CF lip, fog covers, and hood.

 

I wish you did custom special orders. I'd want you to make me a CF dash and CF valve cover. How about a CF intake manifold?? okok little too extreme but... its good to see a Prelude guy with talent such as yourself. You'll be hearing a lot from me as soon as I get a raise
