Default Starting issues

I went out to my hatch the other day and tried to start it and it wouldnt start. There was a loud clicking noise coming from under the hood where the starter is.
I checked my grounds and all but still no start. I decided to push start it and pop the clutch and it worked. I drove it around the block and the shut it off and it started fine and it continued to start fine for the next couple days. I went out today and tried to start it but same loud click, then it started, I shut it off and tried again and it clicked loud once then started. Any ideas what it could be and how to fix it?

I would take off the starter and bench test it. Make sure there is no corrosion on the starter power cable and no corrosion on the battery terminals.

If all else fails, the solenoid on the starter is faulty and the starter will need to be replaced.

Why? Poison told you what anyone else is going to tell you. Have it tested.

It could be flywheel related. I replaced my starter and double checked all connections and voltages. I've still yet to find my problem.

More than likely the clicking sound is the starter engaging. Is the click all your hear?? I hear a metal shen kind of sound spinning as well as the click.

Are you talking about me? It only does the metal sheen sound when the clutch is pushed in. If it was a valve issue, it would always do it.

Not sure. I would suggest pulling yours off and taking it to the parts store.

Nippon = Japan (just a side note, completely irrelavant)
