AFAIK that is correct. The braces in STS must connect at suspension points. the diagonal braces do not.

OMFG... not this again...
Rule 17.8G
"Strut bars are permitted with all types of suspension. Strut bars may be mounted only transversely across the car from upper right to upper left suspension mounting point and from lower right to lower left suspension mounting point. No other configuration is permitted. Additional holes may be drilled for mounting bolts. Only bolt-on attachment is permitted. "

You have a rollbar, the other braces are just extra weight. Though if you want you can keep the horizontal bar that attaches to the rear shock towers.
And a word of advice.. Remount your harness the proper way!!! Mounting them to the floor is not a good idea!!

He nabbed that picture from the EMracing website. So he's not at fault for the ignorant moves shown by that picture, but rather for desiring a waste of money.
Anyway, they are not legal, so no worries.
Please don't move to SM for something like this.

Are these legal for STS?
I thought they might be allowed under 17.2.A "Pedal kits and other <U>interior cosmetic accessories[/] may be added." I figured since they don't provide any actual performance they could be considered cosmetic?

The more I look at those things the more they **** me off. I love the last two, good thing they are triangulating the rear crush zone. Why absorb that impact energy when you can channel it all into the right hand shock tower? I guess the trade off in stiffness is worth it. I know now why I get spanked in STS every weekend, it's cause my bumper flexes too goddam much!
Okay, I'm calmed down now

Hey man, it seems like your pretty serious about making your car perform and you seem to be a cut above some of the riff raff out there (your APC customers for instance.) If you really want to learn what the members of this forum have to offer, do what I did when I first found this site: Take an afternoon, or a day, or a week.... and READ. Almost every question that you could want to ask has been answered here. Just scroll through every page in the RR/autox forum you can find and read anything that seems remotely interesting to you. You'll be amazed at what you can learn without risking hostility from some people who have read the same question 1000 times.
Good luck.
