Honda MTF on other cars?
I think MTF wouldn't be a good substitute for Dexron - you thought he said Honda ATF? MTF is almost like 10w30 motor oil which Honda specd before about '96 or so.
Honda MTF is getting quite a following among people with '79 to '93 Saab 900 manual trannys. Those are kinda notchy transmissions & Honda MTF really improves them.
I guess I'd use it if the owner's manual calls for engine oil in the manual transmission. That's a lot of cars these days. If the manual calls for GL5 gear oil, I probably wouldn't use Honda MTF.

duh, i misread
yeah, redline MTL and GM synchromesh is what some people for trannies that have a slight grind. i would not use reg 10w-30 if you live in cold climate. the honda MTF is really good and fixes many peoples problems they get from using 10w-30, so i think it would be fine to use other cars.
