Default just installed mad ****-goin to track tonight!

just installed a rc engineering tb 64mm and port matched IM, zex 59300 cam and cam gear @ 5 degrees. adjusted valves also.

i am getting a code 43(fuel). i have a fuel pump(walbro 255) and am getting my fpr and gauge on thursday, so hopefully that takes care of my fuel starvation.

but i am going to the track tonigh and will report back. hopefully i run better than my old 15.8 .. i also installed a new dizzy cuz the old one's bearing seized up and snapped the cam. so the car is running good since last night(except for a high idle~1000-3000rpm sometimes-not all the time) it's temperamental for sure, i know that much.

later

nice man! I'm about to put a 59300 cam into my y8 soon. I'm also probably gonna get the valvesprings. Did you get those and How does the power feel? Let us know your times when you go to the track

well it ran well but i think my stock honda steelies and cheap honda tires hurt me. i managed a 15.6 at 86(i will post my 5 slips later this weekend-i'm in class right now). it runs strong but i have an idle issue still. it's not just at idle either-it lobes while just cruising down the road. i will adjust everything this weekend.

no i didnt get the retainers because i am not chipping my computer, so there fore my rev limit will not be raised so i can't rev higher than stock. and i dont beat on my car on a daily basis so my springs should handle it for racing every other week.

my fpr and gauge will be in on thurs, so they will be installed this weekend and properly adjusted to accomodate the cam's need for more fuel.

well there was a cx like mine with a b16a with i/e and he was running 15.4 so i am pretty happy for now. next week i am getting these 12lb 15" adr rims and some azenis up front so that should easily put me in the 15.2-3 range where my car should be.

oh and btw-1 ran 5 runs ranging from 15.9 to 15.6. my best reaction was .590 while my worst was .702. but in every race my 60' was 2.3xx!! but everything else was consistent down the track. i guess my tires and rim combo are obviously hurting traction out of the hole right?

let me know what you guys think. sorry for the long post-toomany papers this week and i dont wanna double post

nice times, although i wouldn't go with the azenis for a drag tire.

Well, the CX with a B16A and 1/4 of 15.4 needs to learn how to shift, launch, and drive... Or the motor is torn...

those low profile tires will hurt you on a drag strip. even if you let the air out to like 10psi your still not going to get much traction because of the stiff sidewalls. i would stick with your steelies and drop the pressure down to like 20psi. what track did you run at?

well i have always had better results in my other hatch and my se-r with different tires other than stock. my times were always worse with stocks.

i ran at pittsburgh raceway park

and i agree that b16a/cx needs some help.
