Does anyone have experience with the Top Fuel Turbo Kits? I am looking into getting one for my 98ITR. I have the JDM ITR Pistons w/ 11.1-1 compression so I am thinking that if the JDM ITR's get away with the Top Fuel Kits with that compression, then I should be able to. Does anyone know where to get a Top Fuel Kit? Answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

 

First of all it isn't exactly a kit. Just the basics. YOu have to source all the smaller parts yourself and put it together. So if you're looking for plug and play look elsewhere. Price start at over $4000 for the kits and they all come with Garrett ball bearing turbo. They have a smaller kit with internal wastegate and larger one with external wastegate. Intercooler is optional and not included. They come with metal head gaskets to lower compression I believe and offer Power FC and HKS FCon V Pro as options.

 

the topfuel turbo kit comes with a topfuel exhaust manifold,a topfuel wastegate, a head gasket to lower your compression for you to about 9:5 compression,and the turbo itself, you choose which turbo you want with your top fuel kit. the line up is HKS 2540 (sorry forgot the last 2 digits),a Blitz K26, a Blitz K3T. the blitz K26 will not allow you to keep your A/C. the Blitz K3T will not let you keep your A/C also and you must have your engine rebuilt(and have proof of it) in order hold the K3T turbo and be sold to you. The HKS turbo is the top fuel kit that will let you keep your a/c, and your topfuel turbo kit DOES NOT COME WITH PIPEING OR INTERCOOLER, so your gonna have to find some one that can custom make pipnig for the top fuel, it does not include a computer either, and GOD is correct, you can use a hks f-con to control the turbo, but most people would use the Apexi Power FC, what I would do is get a custom turbo or just get a turbo kit and put the topfuel exhaust manifold.
