92 Accord, Checking codes?
Ok, here's the situation. I was driving the car into a local parking lot to park and grab some groceries. As I was turning onto the parking spot, the car sputtered for a second and dies. I pop it into neutral and fire it back up with no problems, but the check engine light stays on.
The car idles from 500-780rpm and rather smoothly. Every once in a while I was thinking a felt a tiny hesitation in the motor while driving. The engine would be between 2000-2500rpm at a consistant speed. Not like a heavy acceleration or letting off the gas, it would only do it when the pedal was at a constant place or the rpms were steady for a while.
Could that possibly be a plug going bad?
But why would that make the check engine light stay on?
It's a 92 Accord EX Coupe Automatic with 99K on it. I've only had the car since 92K miles and have replaced the distributor sub assembley, air filter, oil & filter, cap and the rotor. I'm thinking it may be time for plugs and wires, which I have in the garage. I just need to get around to installing them.
I pulled the carpet down to check the ECU, but there's no light to throw codes. So how do I go about checking the codes in my Accord?

Use the search my son, use the search

I like to use a bent paper clip in the jumper. The CEL light itself will flash the code to you, that thread tells you how to read them.
