Default Suspension Tuning for 6th gen Accord 4 cyl

I'm looking at strut tower bars and there's a wide discrepancy of prices. There's a Tenzo strut bar for $42 while DC Sports runs you up to $192. A strut bar is a strut bar is an additional $150 warranted for 2-3% extra stiffness?

I was also wondering about front and rear sway bars. I heard that front sway bars dont do much and that just a rear sway bar would be great.

the neuspeed bar is supposedly the best, although cheap ones for $40 or so will do just fine for your average person. i would suggest F/R along with a rear sway bar. i'm not sure whether the front is worth while in a 6th gen, since the suspension is different from 90-97 accords, but for us EX owners the rear bar only is reccomended.

You probably wont feel anything out of a top, front strut bar.
my ebay sh-t works just fine, just have it sit tight and not have the bar
moving.

better coilovers and sway bars do magic in the road imo

it's dopends on what you need, most of the aftermarket sways bar are sold sperately, but there's some "tuned set" that require both
comptech for example.

I had one of those 3 piece strut bars from ebay. I believe it had a TYPE R sticker on it. I couldn't see too much of a difference, and I bought and installed a Neuspeed instead. I would recommend to buy the one solid piece strutbar. I also got the lower tiebar by neuspeed, and I could also tell a difference from that addition. I got the Eibach F/R sway (antiroll) bar, and I like them a lot. I choose the eibach over the neuspeed, since I was told that they are stiffer. The swaybars are most def. a good add-on. Finally, I also got the tein 16 level adjustable. At this moment I'm looking into the skunk2 lower rear tiebar.

I guess it comes done to how much money your willing to spend, and how stiff you want your ride to be. Personally, I like my ride predicatable, and I rather go right the first time. I learned from experience to stay away from no-brand stuff from ebay. Sure it's cheaper, but most of the time ineffective.

As far as handling, I would spend the money on good tires and wider than stock rims, before I would go all out on strut and sway bars.

Hope it helps.

Don't forget that the CL-S/TL-S strut bar, and rear sway bar will fit on your car. Here is a review of each off of Honduh.com.

Strut bar When I bought the neuspeed strut bar, i was disappointed that it was merely a supplement to the stock one. If they were to be used in conjunction with each other, I would have preferred that they were welded together. I was considering welding a piece of metal between them to solidify the chasis and increase its effectiveness, but never got around to it.

With the release of the TL/CL-Type S, a few people bought the strut bar and replaced their stock 6th gen ones. I gave it a try. Initially, I planned on using the CLS bar with the neuspeed bar, but under flex, they would actually rub against each other since they're so close. So i removed the neuspeed one all together. My first race with the new CLS bar was at California Speedway's track event. As hoped, the bar controlled body flex better than the stock/neuspeed combo. Going through the shikanes were very predictable with no sign of the car twitching or getting loose. With a price tag of only $50, you can't go wrong. Definate thumbs up

Rear sway bar This is a great rear sway bar for the money. It has made a nice difference, and for about $50, I would have to say that it was a great buy. This bar is 19.0 mm while the stock 6th gen accord bar is 16.0 mm.

Yes, there are the Comptech, Eibach, and Neuspeed sways; but if you are on a budget, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

tires and rims package are going to run me up to at least $1000 and tires are a disposable commodity.

i cant find the front strut bar in the online catalog. it lists a "stabilizer bar" but when i look at the display it shows something different. the rear sway bar is called a "stabilizer bar" so im thinking that its the front sway bar.

dude, there's obviously going to be a difference between big/brand name and small/generic/no-name brands... it's like saying, "yo-why is the stuff at advance auto parts are cheaper than genuine honda parts..." anyway, there's always going to be a debate about which one is better and yadda yadda ya... just get whatever you want and what your wallet can afford you...

about the front and rear sway bars-i guess no one read my post about understeer, oversteer, etc... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=583995

There are a few big brands that I could think of....but the OEM CL/TL-S is just as bad. It doesn't tie the towers together, persay....they connect to the firewall; and just before the firewall the two bars are tied together. BUT it's made of thin metal and you could bend it easily.

I'd love to get my hands on a Skunk2 front upper bar.....the DC isn't that great along w/ the Neuspeed. The DC has holes in the bar so it'll have some flex.

What makes the neuspeed strutbar bad? I would say it's one of the best for the accord, if not the best. The skunk2 has the same desing as those for 14.99 on ebay, and BTW Skunk2 doesn't make a strutbar for the accord, yet. The Skunk2 strutbar is a three piece strutbar, while neuspeed is one solid piece.
