Anybody had problems torquing the nuts and bolts on the driver's side mount? Seems my big *** sockets dont clear the mount itself, just not reaching the nuts or bolt heads. Or am I supposed to use a thin wall socket?

You need to use a long neck socket.

 

Yeah, use the thin wall socket and hand tighten it.
