aftermarket short throw heating up....
the shifter heats up well warms up after about a half hours worth of driving...is that normal or could i get away with covering the linkage in heat-tape?
the same thing happens to me.... and i recently broke my short shifter and had to put the stock one back on... now it doesnt get hot, i just thought of that!
i think its because the shifter is so close to the exhaust pipe and most after market shifters are aluminum which transfer heat much better than steel

Mine does heat up(friction or something), but nothing ever goes wrong with it.(Neuspeed) What kind of piece of ***** short throw breaks?
