QUICK answer Please look... where does the 2 wire plug on the dizzy go?
ok the two connectors coming off the distributor are pluged in to their respecting places(two round connectors) one connector has 6 wires and the other has 2 wires, a black with yellow stripe and a solid blue. we followed these two wires and they lead to a two prong rectangular connector that isnt plugged in. this is my geuss why we arent getting spark. whrere does this go?
That goes to the Cylinder Position Sensor. Its inside the distributor on a SOHC and on the exhaust cam of a DOHC.
i have a ecu pin out somewhere......if you still need it i could look for it. C1 and C2 are for something on the dizzy.....tdc or cyl....i forget which
Throwing a Code 15??
Alright, it's the Main connector, if you're looking from the front, it's on the left side of the bay, that big thing covered with Amber rubber ****.... anyway, pull it apart, and (looking down from the top) it's the farthest right pin on the top or bottom row, sometimes it slips out, and you loose spark. (Happened to my swap).
That top part goes into the Firewall and it's a pretty INTEGRAL part of the whole setup, if you're missing this, you're screwed.

i tried unplugging and pluging all connections back in. ill check again. ive done single cam to single cam swaps before, b to b swap before, single to b swap. i am real comfused. i am not a noob to any of this. i checked rotor. turned dizzy 180 degrees, plugs, plug wires, soldered all distributor wires one by one to make sure they were all correct and getting good current thru them. i put the spark plug on an engine ground and it doenst spark. only 3 times has it sparked. after it would spark wed put the plug back in and it wouldnt fire and we would touch nothing else then wed take the plug out, ground it and it wouldnt spark. its crazy, i was thinking it was a ground so i check all those. they are good.
it is throwing no codes. it has a zydyne gold ecu if that helps out any. this isnt my car. i am not familiar with this ecu.
