Default Will a GSR or 96+ Civic fuel pump work in a 91 Civic?

My friend's car is acting up alot lately.. we think it's the fuel pump. When it's idling it will slowly stall down and die like its no longer getting gas. It'll also turn off when it's driving on occasion. Then you have to keep cranking it and it'll eventually run again. Just seems like it isnt getting gas sometimes.
So I told him we'll swap a different pump in there to eliminate that problem first. I have a GSR fuel pump and a fuel pump off a 96+ Civic. Will either of these work? If both, I'll use the GSR since it's not being used anyway.

A quick responce would be awesome (like 5-10 mins from now). Thanks.

You can probably use either one. I'm using a 94-98 Acura Integra (Holley) pump... it won't fit like the stock one will. You're going to have to change connectors for the - and + terminals, and probably shorten the fuel hose. VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure that the pump is sitting EXACTLY the same way as the stock one, as in reuse the bottom rubber piece that holds the pump in, reuse your stock strainer or buy a new one meant for your fuel tank... TRUST ME! Do all that and you should be ok.
