There were a couple of shops that specialized in coating headers (similar to the popular ones out of state). Do any of you guys have any links or info on them? I remember there was one in Belmont and another in Concord.
The return time for a job being done at HPC Coatings was ~1 week, and I highly recommend them for their work, customer service, and their warranty. I posted sometime back about my HyTech header being coated by them, I'm sure that a search for a post by user "Austin" and "HyTech" under the archived topics will net you the thread.

HPC is fine, but if you really want local...try MicroCoat.

Up in Santa Rosa...
After my horriffic experience with JetHot and UPS, I'd try my luck with HPC or MicroCoat on the next ceramic coating project.

I had a friend who went to them, but he was charged a bunch of extra fees because his manifold was dirty...I dont remember what he paid but it was quite a bit.
From what he said I dont think they clean the parts, you MUST clean the part first before you send it to them...but im not sure. I am just going with what I remember him telling me.

I know that HPC Coatings charged me ~$20 extra to clean the header before the coating, they stated that the coating would not stick unless they did this, but I was forewarned prior to sending the header down to them.

Local to everyone:
I thouroughly cleaned the header then applied 3 thick coats of the High Heat spray. No chipping or cracking for over 2 years.

It works too, just not as effective as what I used, but then again I paid ~10X the amount, but the HOC Coating also coats the inside of the header...to each their own, I ate Top Ramen for a little while, whereas you ate a little better, lol

Doesnt the HPC coatings and the like also lower overall temperature? I have sprayed my header with 1200 degree Kragen paint it peels off and is hot as hell. Jet Hot claims to lower engine temps, you feel a difference Austin with your Hpc coating?
HPC and JetJot are pretty much substitutes for each other....
Forgot you can also try SwainTech or Airborne Coatings....
Both offer higher temp coatings, but they don't have the bling factor...
As far as performance gains, I don't know. Didn't do a dyno before & after coating. But I figure the maximum is going to be like a 1-2% hp change. Temperature wise, I do notice the underhood temps seem to "drop off" faster than before. But that was compared to my OEM header, which throws another variable in the equation.
