I put my last road racing bicycle up on ebay last week with a reserve of $1,200 (worth over $4,500 new, but I never ride anymore), and even though the reserve wasn't met, the high bidder and another guy expressed strong interest in it off Ebay!

If it goes through, I'll be ordering the basics for the swap, then I'll just need the mounts/linkage, and axles ..... oh yeah!! Back to being at least moderately quick!!

Money problems ...... $500/month car payment plus insurance on top of that. I would be divorced if I didn't do the intelligent thing and sell it .....

But I just worked a deal through work to advance me all the money I needed to pay back my outstanding and unpaid credit cards (no more phone calls, and no reason to think about bankruptcy anymore - I love my office!!!!!!), and pull it out of my paycheck at the same rate I was already paying out bills. They will ALL be paid off in about three years now instead of the 6-8 I was looking at before!

That is why I am treating myself with the sale of my bike. It keeps me motivated to get out of debt, and get back into the scene!
