Just got OEM front Lip from UPS...
I'm on my way out to get an estimate for how much to have it painted (probably get the stock sides painted at the same time) ans was wondering: The instructions seem to say that i shouldn't install it myself (it actually says not for "do-it-yourselfers"), and also seem to indicate that I MUST remove the front bumper to get it on properly. Has anyone had experinece installing this piece? Have you had to dismount the entire front bumper? If so, was this difficult? Can I do it myself?
Also, anyone who has had this peice repainted, how did the edn result seem?
TIA

every instruction Honda publishes has that message...installing a front lip is one of the easiest things you could do besides maybe changing out your shift ****
i'm also 95% sure you dont have to remove the bumper

i have removed the front end (uh, bumper cover?) several times and it's not that hard, just a little scary your first time. make sure you have a manual, there are somewhat hidden bolts (fenderwall area). i've done this without jacks or lifts. let us know what price you end up getting for the painting.
I just got back from the body shop and they quoted me $175 CDN to paint the lip but they don't do installs. Also he said IF he paints the sides, no guarantee that the paint sticks. He says they do it all the time but they are not inteded to be painted...
What do you think about $175 CDN ($115 USD) to paint it? I hope it's easy to install....I've got NO experience...

The Front lip and side skirts are a really easy peice to put on. its just a couple bolts under the front bumper, and a couple screws on the side byt the wheels.
Just paint the lip whatever the side skirts are, i've seen a few integras with this and it looks cool. The last gen RX7s have the same thing.

01GSR - you just have the comptech springs and you are running on stock shocks? is this a good setup, I mean wouldn't running 1.25inch drop comptech springs ruin your stock shocks?

The stock shocks will wear out faster...but my car only has 8k mi on it so they're not gonna be completely bad for a while...
