We are cooking this little treat up for a 97 Prelude/Automatic. The name of the game here is antireversion quick spoolup collector. This setup will spool your turbo 500 rpms sooner. Wait until you see the intercooler. No huge volume FMIC here. I will keep you all posted on the progress of this project. FYI the tranny is all
Level-10

I have yet to hear of a good experience with Level 10 work on the Prelude Sportshift tranny. Hope it holds up for you. How much boost are you planning on running on it (I'm assuming your engine has stock internals)?

That is a T3/T4E custom trim from Innovative turbo. The motor has 83 miles on it after a full rebuild (JE pistons, Crower rods, Darton sleeves, Ferreia valves, Ect.). I have had Level-10 products before with no issues, but I will kep you all informed, Also on the race program we are planning on 1.5Bar.

There is allot more to it than that, but close Most of this is just tacked together to test fit.

Come on I am a forum ***** you know that. I am everywhere We are using our onw brand piggyback ECU. We have control over fueling as well as ignition. We also added a seperate 3 BAR MAP sensor for reference. Our ECU also clamps the stock MAP sensor so there is no need for faulty check valves

The best time back then on the POS F-Max kit was 13.8 @ 103 on 13psi and race gas. We haven't ran the car with this setup as of yet. The tranny is being built by Level 10.

There are some tricks inside the collector area that transforms it into a checkvalve. Therefore there is no reversion of the exhaust into the non firing runners and ports. This forces the gasses into the turbine for a quicker spool over logs and equal length setups.

i would think that collector would cause a lot of turbulence. the exhaust gases are flowing into a large volume area before entering the turbo. as what ffgeoff asked, where are the check valves? i dont see any welds coming from the inside of the collector, either that or the welds are completely cold.

The bulkhead it's self acts as an antireversion chamber or also known as a pulse trap collector. With the "wall" around the primarys the exhaust gasses create a pressure boundry that restricts it from entering back into the primary tubes of non firing cylinders. This setup has been used in a Porsche Bonneville record setting car. This same 930 was running 9sec 1/4mi before Eddie Bello was a glimmer in his momma's eye. We have also ran this setup on our record setting Audi S4. The Torque is amazing and response is unlike any other collector design.

hmm.. so if you put a pressure gauge on each runner the non firing runners will have zero pressure while the collector will have pressure? I'm not buying it.

Could you even classify that as a collector? More like a tunnel of turbulence.
