Corey owned today...
Today(Sunday) at VIR Corey placed first in H2 and 2nd overall in Honda Challenge. Not sure about Saturdays results but I'm sure he'll fill eveyone in when he gets a chance.
for Corey.
for Corey.
Do you guys that go to watch him stick around for the American Iron races? My Uncle is crew chief for Jimmy Hoover, the points leader in whichever class he's in. Its an orange previous gen Mustang. Just wonderin if anyone has even seen him out there.
Yeah Corey did really well this weekend. He did not qualify Saturday due to a problem with his transponder and had to start in the back of a field of 63 cars. He ended up 8th overall and 3rd in class that day. So he passed 45 cars in 9 laps.
James Hoover is very fast. Bryan Shugg and he always seem to battle. That car is beautiful also. He did a great job this weekend.

My Uncle is the crew chief for James Hoover. My Uncle also painted that car. He also has my car at his shop right now, hopefully it turns out well.
Thats cool that you guys have heard of him. James lives in a TINY little house in a TINY little town....weird to think that he's points leader in a big series like that.
My Uncle was telling me how one of the upcoming races is a very high speed track, but I forget which. I know they were trying to get a new front put on the Mustang to keep it stable at high speeds. Any idea which track he was talking about?
EDIT: I guess he got the dry sump oil system setup fine...when I was in VA last week he was quite agitated with it

203whp?
203whp?
That's no BIG surprise at all! Corey is a very successful guy who has put an infinite amount of hard work, dedication, and time into his car. That's true "passion", and for that, I wish him the best of luck with future events. I am anxiously awaiting to hear from him! Hurry up Corey!
the next race is Lowes Motor Speedway, we run the oval and the infield
you turn in from start finish right in front of pit lane and then run the infield then you enter back onto the banking in NASCAR turn one and run all the way around to the start finish line
American Iron cars will see probably 160 mph +
Corey should see 150 MPH hopefully

4th gens rule all
Hmm, he usually either places 1st or 2nd.... maybe we should assume this for his next race...
