Best cams for supercharger
I'm planning on puting in a Jackson Racing Supercharger in about a year into my 01 GSR but along the way i'm upgrading everything else possible. Do you guys think the CTR/ITR combo is a good one for a supercharge application or someother cams?
Thanks
Thanks
I know a guys have B16A/SCJS @ 13 PSI with ITR cams... He sold it because the cam was to aggressif for his setup
He pulled better dyno with his stock B16A cam. Dont ask me why !! hahaha

go with whatever has the mildest high rpm cam settings.
the high lobes as you probably well know
are designed for high flow, the SC takes care of that, and even reduces performance when they are put together.
you are probably best off sticking with what you have until someone comes up with something that is designed for a SC application.
good luck!

I've heard the only cam worth switching out is the GSR exhaust cam for an ITR exhaust cam assuming your running an unmodified head. But thats about it. Otherwise I would leave it alone and keep the GSR cams.
Hi,
The prob with the more aggressive cams is too much overlap. Since the SC is cramming air in anyway, you can just have the charge pushed right through!
As stated, maybe focus on the exhaust side. You could get just the ITR exhaust cam, and with tuning it may be beneficial to improve scavenging and whatnot. Also get cam gears to help dial out overlap.
Otherwise, stay stock.
Take care,
