what tools should I get when working in tight spaces?
Really short, small tools.
The question's pretty vague. What's tight about the space? Is your garage really small? What specific car job are you talking about? Most times it's other parts of the car that get in the way, not your garage walls...

well I would probably STILL be working on my timing belt if it wasn't for my 1/4in drive ratchet. my 3/8in drive was just too big.
a regular set of box and open end wrenches are useful in some tight spots.
I've got one of those U-joint thingies for on my impact gun. comes in helpful for when you cant quite get to a bolt straight on.
I'll put a little blob of permatex grey on a nut to hold it in the socket when I cant quite reach it to keep it from dropping.
Ummmm, thats all I can think of right now.
