Super T Manifold...Just for fun...
Just thought I'd share a few pictures for fun of the new manifold Dave did up for the Supra Truck. Its even more sexy in person... We took it to the track already for some low boost shakedown runs and ran a 10.5 @ 133mph at 19psi boost...Going to get her to the dyno this week so we can hook her up to the wideband and crank the boost up to a more track worthy 30psi. She's a completely stock, including cams, 2jzgte... Hoping for some mid 9's on the current setup which seems pretty realistic considering the ET's at low boost-
)

No, its just a Crappy inefficient ON-Center t72. Going to make the switch to a Tangential style here soon. Its still making awesome power though, despite the inneficient housing...so we'll bang her in the nines hopefully next week and then make the switch...Going to switch out the stock cams too at the same time...hoping to eventually get her in the high 8's...but one thing at a time...were still absolutely pleased at the 10.5 @ 133mph at 19psi especially considering its an all stock 2jzgte including stock cams, intake, throttle body etc. That truck weighs around 2900 with driver, so its not exactly light in import terms either....plus its a brick for aerodynamics...Dave said its smooth and tracks straight down the track though...

wow, looks really good.
glad to see it came together so well... now just to turn up the boost, and tune the rom for it.
any plans for it next as far as internal mods?

how much power do you think your puting down? im just wondering because i didnt know the stock engine could handle 19 psi of boost, with enough power to put the truck in the 9's...
sweet setup though! i saw when you posted a little while back, the truck just looks like a normal daily street driven truck. good job!!

its not a straight drop in... well you could if you welded the mounts. the transmission tunnel needs to be banged out, you will have firewall clearance issues that need to be addressed as well as fenders need to be cut (inners). this knowledge is brought to you by the 1jz powered cressida.

My 1st car was a 85 Cressida with, I think, the 5M-GE? I am thinking of getting an 85 pickup and want to either turbo the 22R or put in an other engine. What other options do I have? Also, is the 85 EFI?

art -- im going to be putting in an NA sr20de from a silvia Qs in my toyota, then turbo it. However thats farrrr down the road, for now i have my 22r on a standalone and it works pretty well. Its hit or miss from 84-88 on the efi part.

Sorry for the dumbass question, but what is that thing coming off the top just before the turbo? Looks like it curves up and back and is mounted on the exhaust piping?
