here's what happens to a CF hood without good pins
ok so here's the deal... i don't have a normal latch anymore for my CF hood, i have been using locking hoodpins... well, today on the freeway doing about 70 the hood flipped up and did a fine job on my windshield. cracked everywhere on it. Wosre than that, the hood put some meaty dents in the roof as you can see i hope. camera phone, sorry
so i was wondering if anyone knew how easy/hard it would be to pull out my headliner and push the dents back, and if there would be noticable creases. they all look kind of big, but no creases. someone here's had to do these before i hope? thanks for any input
and a descent motor shot

someone backed up into my car a month ago, and ruined the latch on the hood, and the catch on the radiator support, so i used the locking hoodpins, and i figured out that one of them had a nut loosen up, so it unlatched going down the freeway. When they were locked right, the held just fine...thats life
just push up the roof while sitting inside the car. Don't worry about removing the headliner to do so, you should not have to put up that much pressure. As far as reminiscence of a dent, at the most, you will probably see imperfections near the edge of the roof next to the gutter portions.

Both of you are a bit out of line.
Personally, I think CF hoods look really awesome. Can you tell what the point of failure was on the pins?

damn that sucks man, but thats what happens when you dont have hood pins. I learned that from my bro and his friend when they drove a del sol with a brand new cf hood.

95 hatch, next time, use the hood lock, lucky you didn't crash your car at 70 mph.
