wheelie bars
how long do they need to be past the bumper, how wide do they need to be at the wheels, how high off of the ground do the wheels need to be. does anyone have any pictures ( mounting points/wheel brackets). i would like to fabricate me a set before the virginia race. traction on my car sucks in first gear.
here are my wheelie bars, the upper bars and the smaller side bars on these are adjustable. i can adjust how high or low each side is, as well as if they have any load or not in them with the bars that run "vertical" on the sides.
this is a pic of the upper wheelie bar mounts
here is the best sho i could find of the lower bar mounts..this tube action goes through the floor and connects to the cage.

i think my bars mesure about 641/2 inches off of the back of the rear bumper. 65 is max length.

thanks 2.2lcivic, that gives me some good ideas. where did u get the wheels? your car is looking great. has anyone else got any pics.
Yeah- i have been seeing almost every one of 2.2's posts for the past 6 months... but now your car is really turning me on. What you gonna run, quick??? Your car looks solid bro, real solid. Tell tran, and savy to watch out for the "Orange Glo" BTW, can i get some more pics of your cage? Im thinking of doing a similar setup. Mild? mounted trough firewall onto shock towers?
Thanks! KEN

They are suppose to be 62 inches in total length. they dont really help you that much in the 60 foot. if you set them up right you will see a big difference in the 330ft and the 1/8 mile. netting you a much better et. hope this helps.. later

if they are not going to help out my 60ft times its a waste of time for me to make them right now. i know i need to move up to a set of 26" tall tires in the front this winter. i thought the bars would help me out.
