Default Jdm Itr 98 Header

Well I was Thinking about purchasing a 98 itr Header my question will is Fit an Ls 96 an if so will there be any mods that need to be made???

Any My Second Question is that I seen a skid shield that some mounted on a 98 itr header i think it was but i can't find it in i searched an search no good well thanks

The 98+ JDM ITR header is 4-1 with a 2.5" collector so it will not bolt up to your stock cat. Best bet would be to buy a new cat (ie: carsound etc) and have 2.5" flange welded on.

Don't remember where to get the skid plate though.

Have you considered the 97 jdm itr 4-2-1 header? Its nice having some bottom end

I seen this today on Inlinefour's website what does it do??? an where does it mount i am very interest an curious about it thanks someone post pics of where it is mounted at

An Also do i really need this part??? or can i just get one done at my muffler shop???

In the bottom pic you need the gasket, you can get the other one fabbed if inline's price is too much. Nobody runs that brace in the top pic.

i'm guessing it attaches to the block and then to the header....
provide some rigidity....

The Brace mounts to the header. I am not sure WHY but it comes stock on the JDM ITR Engine that is where I saw mine

save you money and go turbo. that's what i'm doing. after spending so much money on bolt ons, i'm still not that fast. go turbo, and you will be a very happy man. you can piece one together for about 1500.

So what do you think of the skid plate has it saved you yet??? I ordered from him the other day skid plate header an heat shield... so i should be recieving it here in a few days did you do the install on the headers was it tuff easy or what... well i ordered a cat from hybrid honda... i guess its custom so it bolts rite up hope fully well i take pics in a few day peace

Skid plate really isn't needed, at least not for me(I'm not slammed) But it is good piece of mind to have. Yeah, I installed it myself, it was easy, just make sure you have the right tools and someone to help you maneuver the header when your about to bolt it up. Also remember to get a donut gasket if you haven't already done so.

my gsr has that bracket..keeps the header in place..and stress off the studs in the head..i'm open header right now(most extremely loud vtec ever heard) waiting on smsp to return my email about a flange no muff shop has what i need..they say "if it's after market header we can't do anything to it"
