Default How to clean the a/c system

does anybody how I can get rid off the stink in my airco, I bought a can with spray but where do I spray it in ?
I use the airco often so thats not the problem, and it starts to smell after I turn it off.

i am not sure, but one guy on a 99 accord lx replaced some filters that go behind your radio or something and that filter is the one that smells, you can actually see this filter as you take out your radio and stuff. this is my next weekend project.

Later.

I wanna see this article on P.O. that you keep posting, but I do not want to pay for a membership w/ them.

BTW, the 98-01 ludes had A/C filters, just like the 98-up accords.....but as for me with the 97 stinky a/c.......HELP!

the best thing to do is to take out the evaporator coil and clean the area where it sits. the smell is from debris that falls from the cowl area of the car such as leaves. have some one recover the freon and then you can take the evaporator yourself to save money, then after clean it , install new o-rings on the fittings and then go have it recharge. you should run the a/c system in recirculation mode to prevent this from happening again.
