They have a 4 door ITR on the Best Motoring Video Vol. 01. The 3 door is faster because of weight and the wheel base. It suprised me because it was different for M3's......The 4 door M3 was faster then the 2 door.

The M3 sedan is narrower and taller than the coupe. That is why the sedan retained the same weight. Also the times, 0-60 and 1/4 mile are identical. From what I have heard, the sedan is stiffer than the coupe because of it being narrower and taller. Turner Motorsports uses a sedan(328) because he gets better times with it.

The 4drs are silver, called the Type-Rx. And has silver dash trims inside.¡@

not true. type-rx is the nomenclature they give to all fully load type-r models, regardless of color or whether it's a dc2r or db8.

I thought I had more pics, but I only had 4, two of which must have been conversions, as they only have 4 lugs...I got them from Honda of Japan's website somewhere a while ago...

regardless, I emailed them to a friend and he will post them up later...

Yep, That's why they use the 4 doors in American Lemans.........before the new M3 E46.

Very very very cool.

So, did Honda discontinue them in 99? I only see 2 with the 5 lugger.

The 4luggers must be the 96-97 years.

How Come Some of the White Ones only have 4 Lug Rims?????????? Not all those i believe were Type R's But some of them had 5 Lug but would have to see more to believe they were Type R's but i have heard they do have them in Japan.

A true JDM junkie can tell you that itr's in japan (pre-'98 i believe) came with 4 lug suspension. Thus those were pre-98 type r sedans, and not mere SiR's.

I think for what it is it's nice...but I think in general that the 4 dr is not an attractive car...the integra does not look good as a 4 door vehicle...it was designed as a 2 door (or 3 door hatch if you will) and was probably evolved as a cheap sedan...(I don't know when the 4 doors appeared or if they started from the get go)

just my .02, not bashing...

96specr was 4x114.3. same as 92-96 prelude vtec. it didn't become 5x114.3 until the 98specr.
