My car (LX with automatic tranny) vibrates pretty badly when put into reverse. In neutral or drive, it doesn't vibrate. Seems to have gotten progressively worse over a period of about a year--now pretty bad. Anyone know what causes this and if there's an easy fix? Thanks.

 

im doubting theres an easy fix, maybe for a transmission specialist at least . im guessin your reverse gear is thrashed. i heard from a coworker that if u put a honda into reverse while still moving, the gears just get murdered. same with going from reverse to drive. i dunno if hes talkin outta his *** or not but he had experience with em for a decade or so. id say jus take it into a shop and have em check it out before ur car wont be able to go in reverse anymore, and i usually find that worse than some violent shaking.

 

check the motor mount in the front ,the one by the radiator,you will find the rubber on it is torn on the top section
