Default gauges for ALL MOTOR

i just want to keep tabs on my motor. What kinds of gagues should i get for a non vtec motor . i know i need a tach . i like the one make by apex. also my i have 3 placment choices... my first choice was installing them in my JDM center console. my 2nd was in the glove box, but i dont know it they would be eazy to see, of a pillar pod on the driver side.

ps auto zone sell 3 gauges in a metal sheet, that mite fir pefect inthe jdm console
oil pressure is a must any others

Oil Pressure and Oil Temp. Both worth it in my opinion. Water Temp if you something more acurate then Honda's 4 point setup.

If you don't know what gauges you need, why do you need them?

He wants to know which are the best to buy so he can keep a check on whats going on under the hood. Never hurt to ask a question IMO. No need to be a jerk off bout it.

air/fuel ratio gauges are inaccurate unless you get a wideband set up like FJO or that other company..that aussie one..argh i cant think now

air/fuel guages are good for a light show though

Okay, any all-motor guy in the world is going to have some acurate after-market water-temp and oil pressure guages. Also it's a good idea to have a BIG oil pressure warning light hooked up to your guage. Honda oil pressure light doesn't come on until it's down to 6psi and at that point if your driving hard... your already F&)*ed! If your like me, you may also want a oil temp. guage. heat robs power. I like to know that my oil cooler is working.

my gauges- Oil pressure, head temp, tach, a/f. I don't have a fuel meter yet... I think if anything I'd add fuel pressure and oil temp, though it should be somewhat relative to the head temp.

IMHO
-Wideband O2
-Oil Temp and Press.
-Water Temp
-EGT

and try that all of them have some kind of programable warning.

Oil pressure guage should be the 1st one everyone buys no matter what kind of engine.
