vtec solenoid? where to buy ? please help... also, how hard is install ? thanks
dealership would be easy and the fastest way to get one. you can probably find one on the net but it might take longer. and they're really easy to install.
The solenoid will cost you about 150-200 at the dealer. Find one on this board for 50-100. ITs real easy to install. I think its jsut a few bolts tha hodl it in place. You might wanna get new filter screens as well.
thenks again guys, but besides the solenoid, what esle would cause the vtec to not kick in? i just bought the car used, 00si and i pretty sure the solenoid went bad, but if isnt this... what else could it be? thanks

Hows your oil level ? Is all the wiring ok ? You said your car is a 2000 so its pretty odd for the vtec solenoid to go bad so soon, you could try taking it off and cleaning the screen.
