Default muffler choice for custom 3" exhaust

got another question.

I am going 3" from the cat back on my custom turbo setup and want to know what a good choice of muffler would be. I want one which isn't louder than my current magnaflow 2 1/4 setup. If it were possible, I would like it so sound like the Greddy Evo system or quiter if possible.

My sound concerns are when I'm not laying into it, before you slam me.

Anyone with ideas?

just get the magnaflo 3". If you dont want it too loud, just put in a resonator.

one place which I may get the system from uses Thermal R&D mufflers. Does anyone have experience with them?

As for the magnaflow, seen it, done it, and will do it again for the cat, but would like to try something else for the muffler.

Also, I'm told that a resonator is a unwanted item for FI, which kind of makes since.

i'm using an HKS super dragger muffler with a 2.5 inlet and it's quiet and i love it. i think they are available with a 3" inlet but i don't know if it's gonna be louder with a 3" pipe.

Yeah me too. Its blinging. Sounds good too with a deep and throaty roar to it. I've got it mated to my 3" straight thru custom made system.

There are some nice ones on ebay.. search turbo muffler. I have the megan racing n1 on my car and its great.. At cruise its not bad at all.. With the silencer its quiet.. once I hit it and the wastegate opens thing get loud anyway.

I am using a magnaflow wideopen 3" and I love it. Its not too loud. I thought it was loud until I took a ride in my brother's car with a 2.25" exhaust on a N/A car.

Magnaflow 3" own j00!

the exhuast is routed through the turbo...and then out, so...i guess most of the noise is lost to the turbo....or something
