As of today, I'm a 4th generation Accord owner!
$3,300 landed me a 1992 Accord LX Sedan. She's in mint condition with 111k miles and an automatic transmission. I'm now utterly broke and won't be able to afford any modifications/upgrades for at least six months to a year, but I'm so goddamn happy with this car, I can most certainly live with it being stock. :]
Being that it's an automatic, I don't know if I want to bother with too many bolt ons, (CAI, pulleys, etc) and I also doubt I'll take the plunge and swap in a V-Tec motor and/or a manual transmission. Who knows though... the need for speed may gnaw at me enough to change my mind. Overall, I'm more about a sleek/comfortable ride, so I'll probably just fix her up nice and perty. And I do mean perty, not riced. God knows, I can't help but laugh at some of these morons I see darting around with a wing on the back of their ride that looks like it was ripped off of a leer jet.
When I do accumulate enough cash to start upgrading/modifying, I think I'm going to start with a new paint job (the car is Opal Green Metallic right now or a very pale ****-green in other words). I then want to add an OEM spoiler. I really like the look of the stock spoiler with the thin LED. After that, I'll probably move onto rims and lights.
Anyhow, enough about my future dreams for now. I just wanted to take a moment to say hello to everyone. The name's Jason, although you probably managed to figure that one out already what with my username and all. This forum community seems to be very friendly and helpful, and I'm looking forward to coming back again and again to tap into the vast knowledge all you folks have built up amongst yourselves.
As a matter of fact, there are a few things I'd like to ask right now. You'll have to excuse me if these questions have been asked and/or if I seem incredibly naive. I did attempt to run a search, but to no avail. That being said, here goes:
* What does JDM/USDM stand for? Taking a wild guess, I'm going to say Japanese Domestic Manufacturing/United States Domestic Manufacturing. Am I close or way off base?
* Everyone seems to rave about the JDM "look", especially when it comes to lights. Would someone care to explain to me just what this look, well... looks like? I've seen the Altezzas, and while they look alright, they also seem a bit flashy to me.
* A buddy of mine, who owns a 1998 Civic LX Sedan, told me about these two pieces of rubber stripping that are fitted to the left/right rear fenders of most Hondas. Sure enough, my Accord has these pieces. He informed me that I should remove them, as they are conducive to rusting out the fenders. Is there any truth to this?
Phew, I think I've just about written a post around the length of a short story. I'll stop blabbering now and give you some time to read this monstrous thing. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer any of my questions. I love to learn, and I respect anyone who's willing to teach me a thing or two. :]

My apologies for the username. I get mixed results with the various boards I visit across the net. Some places don't mind, others do. I have absolutely no problem changing it though, and once again, I apologize if I offended anyone.
yes your right about the jdm usdm
altezzas are not on the jdm accord that's just an aftermarket part they don't even make them for 92 coups (bastards) there are really only a few things that i can think of that are on jdm cars and not usdm nothing really worth looking at i plane on getting one piece headlights with HID bulbs whether or not there really jdm i don't know but they are labeled as so
finders rust that's just a fact you have to deal with most Hondas short of keeping it dry in a garage you will have to get them fixed eventually iv had mine fixed twice now but i would remove those rubber things just one more thing to hold water
