givin the A/C the boot
The tricky part will be the hard lines and the stuff under the dash.
The hard lines have to be taken appart and you will need to remove the front bumper to get them off.
the stuff under the dash takes a bit of work. there are 10mm bolts all over the place, some rather well hidden. Also all three pieces there interlock, so it takes a bit of maneuvering to separate them. Make sure to remove the 10mm bolt from the firewall that holds the AC condenser or evaporator, I get those two confused.

there will also be a wire harness. I just cut mine at the firewall, then re-soddered them later. There is a unit under the dash that can be removed, but you will need a piece from a non ac car to put in its place. This is what I did, the whole process is very easy, just takes a little time to get it all. Ryan
the part inside is actually quite easy; i'm not sure why you guys make it sound so hard. once you've disconnected the lines by the firewall (engine bay side of the firewall) then remove your glove box (2 bolts), and then locate the ac evaporator (its a big black plastic box right in front of you). remove about 3 bolts or so, and the little metal straps (you'll know what i'm talking about when you see it, its self explanatory). then the box will pull right out. now keep in mind that if you still want to use your heat, you will have to fill that big opening with a connecting piece so that air will pass from the blower to the heater core. to find such a piece, simply go to a junkyard and find a non-ac hatch/civic/crx from 88-91 and it will fit in there perfectly. you'll find that you will have a lot more room under your dash with this new piece as well. i used this space to put all of my electronics for boost.

Yep the inside isnt very hard cause like he said about the metal straps that hold it in so if you take those off it will pull right out. And also what he said about the nut on the firewall thats the nut to remove the heater core housing none of the other pieces have the screw that goes through the firewall like that one does so you dont have t0o worry about it. As far as the lines go make sure you use 2 wrenches so one doesnt twist and break and also make sure when your taking the lines off of the A/C radiator (I forgot its name??) you put a wrench on that as well cause when they are older they tend to bend as well. Oh and as for that plastic piece that takes the place of the box under the dash I have one if your interested.

What holes are you refering to? The holes that are on the black box itself?? I took the black box completely out and put in the white piece that I got from a non-A/C car just because I knew I was never going to put the A/C back in and plus its cleaner looking and well on top of that slightly lighter than having the whole box still in there.
Thanks.

i took mine off firewall forward and didnt have to remove anything but the radiator. since it was already out and the ac wasnt hooked up and was extra weight i took it out.
