I think its an average time.

i just went to the track (HRP) and ran my car JDM h22 I/H/E/Ecu/Test Pipe got a 14.9 @ 94mph

also ran my friends 4th gen with just I/H/E ran 15.2

what was your 60' time? that tells if you know how to launch or not

WOW you can improve honestly you 60' sucks! I've gotten into the 2.29 area. I've seen tons of ludes hitting the 2.3s so... you can improve there for sure. You should be all over the 14s with your setup I've got the same thing on an Si I'm hitting 15.1s so... it was your first time, you'll improve and learn. That's the fun part!

that is almost exactly what i ran the first time i went to the track. We were only a couple of tenths off in every catagory, but i had a completly stock 4th gen vtec at the time. Now i have a cold air and a vafc and ran a 14.6 @ 96mph. Its all in the 60ft. Good run and to you.

Your 60ft times blow....you need better tires, better launching or better suspension...

you should be able to hit 14.9-14.8 with that kind of trap....with an intake on an otherwise stock H22a I did 14.807@93.53

i know. first time... cut me a break . im going back this weekend. i was running 17" rims with low pros. im going to have stock 14" blacks on my car this time around. that should help me alittle. i wasnt launching at a decent rpm... maybe only 1500..... them low pro tires are expensive.
with the blacks ill launch around 2500-3000 does that sound right? or do you think the motor has to much torque for that high of a launch?

too high of a launch? i launch between 4000-5200 depending on how well the track is prepped. in my opinion the closer i launch into vtec and get minimal spin the better my times will be.

Yeah the h22 lacks the torque of the h23 to launch at such low rpm's
leave at the last yellow light, that should bring your reaction time
down quite a bit.
my slow h23 hits consistant low 2.4 60fts

Reaction time dont mean ****, unless hes bracket racing. Which he wasnt.
And I launch at 3grand slipping the clucth as I give it gas. When the clutch pedal is fully released Im at or above 5 grand. I have never gotten lower then a 2.224 60' time with street tires @ 27 psi....
And another note, the better your 60' time is 99.99% of the time your trap speed will be slower, and vise versa...I have got 14.7's and 14.8's with 2.5+ 60' times..

Also experiment with your shift points.Bouncing off the rev limiter every shift is not always the best.I was able to hit a 15.2 with a stock h23 with only an AEM CAI.Practice.

that seems kinda quick, or else my friend can't drive, don't you think a twin turbo 300ZX would be able to pull more than a 15.6? with around 270 HP

a 15.6?!? what did he do, spin the wheels for 2 or 3 seconds? did the announcer at the track laugh when he said the time?

your trap speeds are very low...also your 60 ft times suck..your not getting anywhere off the line, and the second person who posted about running a JDM h22 with i/h/e/ect ect...and ran 14.9 is even worse...but this happens everywhere..at my track 99 percent of the ludes there run in the 15 with mods, its a shame

You say you've never gotten lower then a 2.224 but with 2.5+ you ran 14.7 and 14.8?

And your best was a 14.654? Ok dude.

If you ran a 14.654 w/like a 2.224 and you ran a 14.7 w/0-60ft of 2.5+... there's 0.2-0.3 sec difference in the 0-60 but your 1320 is only 0.1 sec different.

Your doing something wrong.
