Default Tokico Race Coilovers

Hey. Has anybody ever tried the Tokico Coilovers for Integras? It's a full coilover set-up with the shocks.
They come with:
-adjustable damping Illumina shocks with threaded adjustable spring seats
-4 Illumina coilover shock absorbers
-spring seat adjuster tools
-a shock adjuster
-and 4 springs..

i'm just curious about their performance, cuz my friend is looking for a coilover setup to choose from.

Thanks in advance!

I havent dealt with them but I wouldn't be hesitant to try them out. I have tokico illumina shocks with skunk2 coilovers and have no regrets. Has your friend looked into Tein at all? I think they have a full coilover kit for like 750-800

These are the most common available setups for the DC2 3rd Generation Integras... rated from least expensive to expensive as well as worst to best.

- Tein Basics (Does not come with dampening adjustment levels). Your friend will be better off with a Koni/Ground Control matched setup.

- Tein SS (Full function of a matched coilover setup with the dampening levels suitable for daily driving).

- Tein HA (discontinued from the Tein website, but this is more like the bigger brother of the Tein SS...upgraded features include a helper spring, stiffer spring rate, stiffer dampening settings, etc. Usually designed for the DC2-R, if your friend wants it for his DC2, then he must swap out his rear lower control arms for its Type-R counterpart.)

Thats the setup I have...it cost me $950 (no pillowball uppermount which isnt required...only if you want to tear out your chassy, hehehe) for the HAs + $127 for the R LCAs.

Theres also the:

Tein Flex which can accomodate the Tein EDFC electronic dampening control unit...that's stuff for the more serious auto-x'er, track driver. Also costs mucho $$$$ .

I would also recommend the Apex'i N1 World Sports Damper.

That Tokico setup looks pretty solid...how much can your friend get it for?
And whats his budget for a full coilover setup?

cheers

i don't know how much he can get it for.

he is just looking into buying it and considering other options..

i want him to get a REAL coilover system, instead of the tokico's (even though they seem pretty good).. but he wants to spend less.. i'll see whats up
thanks fo the help all

Tein carries "REAL" coilover systems. So does Apex'i. Personally, Tokico would not be my first choice, but I am not your friend...Im just a guy trying to recommend the GOOD stuff. And as a matter of fact, "REAL" coilover systems have a hefty price tag. Didn't you read my previous posts?
