Default d15 to d16 swap (MPFI -> DPFI questions)

Hey guys,

I wanna swap a d16a6 into my 89dx since I have the motor handy and the dx burns oil.

I have a crx parts car I can grap pretty much everything from except the wiring harness.

How can I get around this (ghetto style Ideally)

Mod your harness to MPFI. Do a search there are plenty of sites that have a writeup of the dx to si wiring.

You deffinitely need parts from the MPFi harness.
You will need the injector wiring plugs and wires. the injector resistor box and plug,
and the distributor plug that goes on the harness.

You have to modify your DPFI harness to make the MPFI convertion.

Its not tough. Just make sure you know which wires go where. If you have questions I can get you wiring diagrams on monday.

hi i was wondering since you have done wire harness swaps and stuff. i just took my d15 out of my car and now putting a d16 vtec in, i have the harness of the motor but they wont match up to my car wires. what can i do or what do i need. someone said i can take the distributer and intake manifold from the d15 and put it on the d16 engine. but then my p28 ecu wont work.

you need to convert the engine harness that came with the car.

google dpfi to mpfi

once you get that conversion done you have to convert it to obd1.

google obd0 to obd1

merry christmas!
