Question: Why is the Prelude type-s not imported to the U.S?
Because, the US Honda market is, for the most part, a bunch of old people looking for comuter cars. Not people looking for a moderatly priced go-kart. They are looking at bringing over the new CTR though... maybe shortly after that you can pray for an ITR resurection.
i've heard rumors of the CTR for a while also. My guess is the RSX Type R will be over before hand, and the new Si, atleast from examples in this area, didnt' catch on like they thought it would. The dealership here is selling them for pretty "cheap" seeing as how they can't move any
of course you could ask yourself why didnt' nissan bring over the Silvia, Skyline, and all the other cool cars tehy have over there, why doesn't honda bring over the NSX Type R, why doesn't Toyota bring over their V12 powered "Crowns", etc?

If you think about, The type s would also cut sales into the itr market, since technically with 220ps=217hp of the type s would put it on a level playing field with the itr. but with leather of course

Yes, there was (and is again) an NSX Type R. Honda offered an NSX Type R from 1992-1995 and waited until 2002 (the latest NSX "real" redesign year) to re-introduce the NSX Type R model.
1992-1995: lighter weight (no A/C, no spare, no stereo), Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel, stiffer suspension, shorter gear ratio(s), stiffer LSD ... basically the same things they did to the Integra when they made the ITR.

i guess you are unaware of the fact that there are other skylines sold in japan that arent TT R models.... its called the G35, not the R35, the G35 is an awesome car
The "Type S" is the same thing as the SH in Japan with a few more ponies, it has ATTS.
The drivetrain in japan with the 220ps and LSD you guys speak of is the Sir S-Spec motor.
There was however, in markets such as Australia, a Type S motor that had 220ps more HP and an LSD instead of the ATTS.

umm too bad the g35 to my knowledge is not all wheel drive and turbo as the skyline is. you can get brand new skyline from the dealership. and the skyline jdm verizon wiht a lil difference will be availible in the us
The g35 shares the same platform as the new r35 skyline. the r35 is not turbo'd. the r34 is the skyline most of us know. The GT-T is a RWD turbo(rb25det), the GT-SR is RWD non-turbo(rb25de), and teh GT-R is AWD Turbo using the rb26dett engine.

you are right there's no R35 so far, there are of rumors going around but no R35, a G35 is a skyline but isn't not designated as a R35.
