I am about to buy an ACT HDSS but i cant decide on a flywheel. All the ones I see are around 7-8.5 lbs, i was hoping to get something around 9-11lbs. This car will be street driven purley for the immediate future, I would love to track it but I do not see myself putting in a cage in the near future.

Am I stressing too much about this flywheel? Will an 8lb or so be ok?

ps: if someone could reply soon i would really appreciate it, there is an auction that is about to end.

 

8 lbs will do just fine. I have a CM 8 lb fly, and I love it..

Where in the world did you guys find 8lb flywheels for the Prelude? The lightest I've found was a 10lb Jun flywheel that seemed a little overpriced. In my search I did find that the websites like to list the weight of the B-series flywheels they sold...

 

I got the Jun 12 lb flywheel made from chrome-moly. It won't warp like aluminum under extreme abuse. Yeah, it's heavier, but it gives me piece of mind.
