Someone help me! [Photographers]
So.. i'm all happy that i'm gonna take some quick shots of my ride and i take about 50 pics just so i can assure myself that some of them come out nicely..but NONE did.
It's the night shots that are killing me..i need tips on how to control lighting..if any of you are familiar with the Nikon Coolpix 4300, it'd be a great help to me.
so lemme show you what the problem is...

(the image just looks grainy.. i can't find a balance between enough exposure without lots of noise)

(same here)

And how do i sharpen the light emitted from the various light sources in the pictures? under exposing even just a little leads to too dark pics like the next one that could have been awesome.

Now, am i bitchin and complaining over nothing or am i missing something?

depending on the camera....it's choosing an ISO that is to high...digital cameras don't deal well with higher ISO settings and end up with the noise that you're seeing. look through your owners manual and see if you can manually set your ISO. if you can set it to 100 and then go try taking some pics again. with that nikon camera you should be able to set the ISO level somehow.
hope this helps!

ohhh wow.. good call. I had my ISO at 400..but i'll definitely be having it down to 200 or 100 in the future.. i was under the impression that a higher ISO meant more clarity at night. Thanks!
oh btw, my compliments to your photo album.

Yes! ;}
yes, its 4 mp.
zeal,
i fully support the use of a tripod..or did my images look blurry? i did toy with the shutter settings but it was the ISO that was killing my images.
