Watch out for people using money orders or cashiers checks! We've all been taught they are safe, well they aren't.

My friend sold his RX-7 to a guy in england who wants to buy it.. and said he'd worry about shipping etc. He send a cashers check, waited for it to clear in the bank (the guy over paid "on accident" and my friend is honest enough to money order the difference). My friend then proceeded to buy a 91 Honda civic since he needed a car. The bank then turns around and says the Casher's check was a fake and my friend now owes the bank something like $4000. SO MAKE SURE if you get a money order or cashers check that your bank DOUBLE CHECKS it's real. Just wanted to make sure no Honda-Tech people get screwed like he did!

 

its not the money order or cashiers cheque, its a classic scam, the buyer said that he would send for example double the money and then mail the rest back to him right? well your lucky that he didnt already have the car
