i have a red light saying SRS
i have a 98 integra. this morning i turned on my car and i saw a red light saying SRS. i don't have any idea what it means because i don't have my owner's manual. can someone please tell me what the hell does SRS mean and what i need to do to make it go away.

For you my friend.
Your SRS may light up once in a blue moon, but if its constant, please have your airbags checked. It is also a precaution to see if your ECU is throwing other codes so you can check any CEL codes too while you're at it.
If you are just annoyed by it, just simply reset the maintenance light.

Yes, and if it's on steady it means there's a problem. Please have it checked, my dad survived a near-head-on collision at 60mph with no injuries at all because of his seatbelt and airbags in his truck.

the components of the supplemental restraint system consist of:
- Seatbelts
- SRS Indicator light
- Airbags
- Impact sensors
so checking their funtionality would also be helpful.
