hi all, i'm going to put on the jdm non-srs to replace the stock wheel, looking for instruction/advise on how to go about it, mainly the safest way to take the factory steering wheel out, thanks!

First unplug your battery. Then remove the side pieces that cover the star bolts for the airbag. Use the star hex key to remove the airbag. The rest is pretty straight forward. Dont forget to have the wheel lined up perfectly straight when you pull the steering whell off. Then just put the other wheel on straight as well.

One thing you have to do is remove the SRS controller deal behind the steering wheel as well. And i cant figure out how to properly wire up the horn. I think im going to have to wire it direct as i cant figure out which pin on the yellow loom is for the horn. I dont want to mess up my SRS when i do decide to put my stock wheel back on.

BTW i have the 97 ITR steering wheel also. Looks very nice in my car.

 

thanx man! i like your si, that's what i used to drive before my itr, a 92 civic si with b16a. anyone else can help me with the wiring of the horn??

well, i personally used the little horn dinger thingy (ground) out of a 90 civic and set that up with wiring to my srs horn ground. that enabled me to get the horn to work in my 94 si with a jdm non-srs wheel. good luck...
