Default Best non-adjustable shocks

My GSR is basically a daily driver. It will never see a track, drag strip or auto-x. I like to hit the back roads a lot, but mainly drive it to work, errands. etc. OK. So I hit the back roads every chance I get...
But I'm looking into replacing the quickly fading stock suspension, and was wondering what to get. I'll likely get a beefed up rear sway bar to rid the car of some understeer. And I'm pretty sold on H&R OE springs. Only 1" or so lower, not too expensive, improved handling, what more do I need?
Shocks.
I really have no need for adjustable. KYB AGX's seem to be really hot, but how about the GR2's? I'm really just looking for sharper handling, but nothing punishing. Like I said, the day I race it is the day I own a new WRX.
I hear I should stay away from Tokico, too.
Usually all I hear about are adjustables. Not much luck finding reviews and such on non-adjustables.
Any help?

I will give bilsteins a try if you're looking for non adjustable shocks
Also tokicos aren't bad when matched with springs that have low spring rate and not too much of a drop. My tokicos are working fine with H&R sport.

I didn't think that I would need adjustables either, but then I got in a group buy for the KYB AGXs. Now I'm glad I got them. You can tune out a little bit more understeer by stiffening the rears more than the front. Shop around for prices before you really decide.

I also recommend Bilsteins for non adjustable. Their quality is top notch.

You mean oversteer. Unless, you mean get rid of, by "tune out".

I will be pairing Tokio HPs (blues/NA) to Ground Control sleeves (375/375 or a similar rate). I also have them with H&R Sports. The ride/handling is fine. It's the Sports that I have a problem with. The rates are too soft in the back. I didn't even know what spring rates were when I bought them. Oh well...

Honestly the Blues are pretty stiff. In fact, most complain that they are too stiff. Then they switch over to Koni Yellows and lower the dampening force.

I've asked this before, but nobody cares to answer:
Why do you dislike your Tokico Blues?

Won't the ITR sway bar tear out pretty easily?

Bilsteins, huh? The Tokicos are relatively cheap. With only a 1" drop, they should be OK? KYB, Bilstein or Tokico... Hmmm... Basically just a matter of preference? I just wonder how those directly compare.

Yep, that's what I mean. Get rid of or tune out some more understeer. I didn't want to say tune-in/add oversteer since I don’t think my car feels completely neutral yet and I wouldn’t actually be adding oversteer yet, just taking away some of the understeer that’s left.

I have the Tokico Blues with my Sportlines, and I enjoy them a lot. Theyve worked out great for me in Philly and DC, where the roads arent too enjoyable.
I recommend them for sure...but those KYB's are damn cheap right now, and if you could snag a set for the same price as the HP's...then by all means Id do it. Especially if youre going with OE Sports.

C'mon now! Another vote for Bilsteins.

And coupled with the H&R OE's...great combo.

I have Tokico Blues with Sportlines also and these make a great combination. The ride is comfortable, noticeably stiffer than stock but good for a daily driver. Not a good set up for seriously aggressive driving (ie. autox). Many people say that the Bilsteins are too stiff. A friend of mine had those on his BMW and it was way too stiff, every bump or groove in the road was punishing.
