Default Removing paint from calipers...

I bought a used set of ITR calipers recently, and they happen to be painted red. I wanted to remove the paint but wasnt sure if the paint remover would damage anything on the caliper(rubber boots, piston seals, etc). I plan to use aircraft remover which I know is very strong stuff. I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Maybe ill just repaint them black.

I definately think aircraft stripper would mess up any rubber seals on the brakes.

I would recommend trying to paint over it or something. There is some gold paint you can use that looks very similar to the gold color from the factory.
