Well, since I have my smog check coming in december, I want to increase my chances of getting a BAR sticker...And since reading that thread about new smog ****, I have no idea what to do! I have only had this swap since May. It has a gsr tranny, LS intake manifold, gsr stock header. the motor is a 97. I wanna trade, A STRAIGHT TRADE, for a newer 96 and up b16a2 complete with EVERYTHING!. email me, or pm me.

p.s. little did I know that the engine has to be out of a passenger vehicle or equivalent.

If either motor has all the oem components and external smog devices(charcoal box, cat, etc...) you should have no problem getting the bar for either, so long as its same year or newer than your car and passes the smog test!

not to be a dick but jdm b20 long block usually costs $800 top plus $700 for gsr tranny = $1500 and ur sellin urs for $2200? consider lower the price u might get some deals.

 

ok 1800, I bought the LS intake manifold for it too.

 

it doesnt come with, motor mounts, wiring harness. Thats it.

 

why wouldent you just get a cheeper D series swap and then get the sticker and then put the fat b20 back in?

 

I never thought of that, but it seems like some work. I still have like 4 months till I have to renew my registration, but it doesnt help that Im unemployed. So i just wanna sell the b20 and get that damn BAR sticker. But ive also heard from(cant remember his name) that if Im lucky it can pass as an LS motor, but I just wanna be assured that I know everything is right, and dont have to worry about all the legal shiz.
