Guys
I picked up my acccord yesterday. The body has a few dings here and there, but no sever rust, clean clean interior and 5 speed. It is the dark burgundy exterior and light grey interior..
It needs front brake work and I noticed it has rear drums which I dont like...Did any 4th gens come with rear disc and can I upgrade easily or do the ones off 92-95 preludes work?
please lemme know..Thanks!
PS..did I mention its a wagon! yep...5 speed 91 LX wagon which will be h22A turbo'd in the future, ultimate sleeper...boost iup front, baby seat in the middle and stroller in back...LOL

LX wagons use larger front rotors to begin with, I believe.
Yes, 4g's came optional with 4 wheel disc brakes. I believe on the 91, maybe 92 and up, you can find them with 4w disc brakes along with ABS. I think they came as a package deal.
You can get them by installing the rear trailing arm assy from those vehicles? I'm not too sure on that though.
Be sure to get a new proportioner for the brake system... you don't want to be spinning out or anything.

91 SE
92-93 EX and SE
those are the years and models that came with rear disc
it was not an option it was part of the trim level
ABS was an option in the 92-93 i think but it might also be a standered option in cetin trim levels

it's not that bad....just replace the whole rear suspension ;o). However, you'll also pick up a rear sway bar that you didn't have before which is nice. Also, you'll need the proportioning valve and master cylinder from the EX Accord you steal them from.
I actually have the full swap sitting on my front porch, if you want to make a reasonable offer (over $250+shipping), I'll send it to you...since I'm kind of tired of looking at it. It has brembo cross drilled/slotted rotors already installed.
