Default Auto Tensioner

I have a flapping like noise going on in my engine when I rev it up, then let it drop, i was told it was in the timing belt because my tensioner is going out, is this something that should be fixed immediately? it doesnt happen every time either, i dont know all the details, so if anyone can throw in their 2cents i'd appreciate it..

He's right. Tow it to your mechanic. The belt is probably ripping and your hearing it hit the cover. Be prepared to rebuild your head if it breaks.
