Where to buy r12?
why would you want to buy R12. they are like so expensive for Freon/R12
its cheaper to convert your R12 system to R134 and its what they recommend anyways.

Well, regardless of what "they" say, r134 does not work as well as r12 under hard use i.e. Texas summers.
And if he's got a license, he probably knows the difference.
And an answer to the original question: Ebay. I'm not kidding...tons of it.

If you have a license why dont you buy at a wholesale refridgeeration distributor. There's gotta be some in your area somewhere. I cant imagine it being that much cheaper online, with shipping.
I have no idea what they have for refridgeration companies over on the west coast i know on the east coast we get our r12 and other freons from United Refridgeration, Torch, etc.

personnally...I think that r12 is not worth the hassle, and as for it NOT working under hard conditions...I guess depending on where you live in texas, come out here to the valley and experience heat.

Yo dude, ill meet you out back. I got a fifty sack for ya. Lol just kidding. dude that **** is illegal to produce now. Clean your old ac system out and get it inspected by a certified mechanic. AC systems can get very tricky when you want them to perform correctly (with R134a conversion.) And who could resist the price, $60 for r12 versus 12.95 for r134a. (1 lb at my work) They also make inline filters to clean out all the crud that whoever unknowledgably(is this a word?) pumped into the system.
r134a does not work as good, i have it in my civic and it only get down to like 59 degrees in the summer at an idle, only when i'm cruisin on the highway does it get cold. nothing beats r12, but i have frezze 12 in my accord and that **** gets just as cold, or colder then the r12 ever did. I have no complaints about that stuff. Only reason its not in my civic, is because my civic likes to leak freon every now and then, and 134a is just readly ava. to put in
