What's the code on a 1998 Type R head??

There are 4 symbols on the head and one of them states the year (98). Is this how u tell if the head is really a 1998 type r, since b16 heads came out in 1999 for the civic si

Besides the code, a good way to identify a type r head is by looking at the bowl. It should be smooth and ported slightly.
