Clutch questions(did some search.....)
I did some search but I'm still a bit confused.
I have a 2000 civic SiR (cdn spec) and looking into getting JDM ITR flywheel from my friend and a set of new Excedy clutch/stock ITR clutch.
Are the aftermarket clutch for SiR/GSR/TypeR just the same and they will fit on each other, no matter what flywheel I'm using?
Should I look for an aftermarket clutch kit for 18C-R or 16A if I have that JDM flywheel?
If I use this setup for auto-x and daily driving, should I lighten the ITR flywheel? Anyone knows how much the R & SiR flywheel weigh at stock?
Pls let me know, TIA!

i'm not sure on the swappability of the clutches themselves, but i'll find out tomorrow if the b18 clutch fits on the b16. it's supposed to, i guess. the flywheels, i believe, are somewhere around 20-25 pounds. they are kinda heavy, but i wouldn't suggest lightening one. if it's that much of a concern to you, buy a flywheel that was made to be lighter, not a machined oe one.
im not sure about your autocross question, but im pretty sure a clutch from any B series tranny will work in all other B series trannies, the only thing is u cant use a clutch for a cable tranny in a hydrolic transmission and vice versa but yes they will work
Ohicic thanks a lot S8P-tuner. Pls let me know!
Great point on the cable & hydraulic tranny too igotyofire thanks a lot for that!

I have a 96 Integra LS, my 1st & reverse gear wont engage sometimes, and sometimes when they do engage it takes two clicks to get it into gear. I've already swapped trannys, changed the clutch twice and changed the slave cylinder to try to solve this problem. What could be the problem? Reply ASAP.Thanks.
