just got tranny rebuilt and since i wasn't driving it for a while i'm not 100% sure if it is the same as before.

it should still be a little lower... more like 3200 or 3300...

 

3500 rpm in 5th gear on a itr/b16a tranny is 70mph....3500 rpm on a GSR tranny in 5th gear is about 75mph

your LS sounds about right

 

at 80mph I am crising at 5K rpm's in 5th gear. What could my problem be?
ha ha it gets annoying but man a jdm itr tranny sure helps my LS in acceleration/traction and I am always in power band when I get on it. Reccomend it to everyone even though I am selling my car soon.

 

in my b18b @ ~70mph im 3000 rpm in 5th gear...in 4th at 3000rpm im at ~50

 

My 5 speed 98 RS runs about 3500 at 80 - I don't know why the auto would be very far off from that. At any rate, have the tranny shop double check just to be sure.

he or she was asking about an automatic. so why all the gsr's and 5th gear crap?
